We continue southwest crossing the desert areas of Valle de las Rocas, lunch will be served on the way like a picnic. We enter into the area of the lagoons chain of Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarkota, Honda and Ramaditas, where we will see a good quantity of the three kinds of flamingos and other kinds of birds as Andean seagulls and wild ducks.
These birds live on the lagoons alongside the volcanoes with their eternal snow on the top and their green sides mixed with other colors made by the borax and sulphur. Afterwards, we will be arriving in our lodge located in the middle of the Siloli Desert. Welcome dinner, accommodation in comfortable rooms with heat and a well-deserved shower (Only from 18:00 to 22:00)

Day 04 –Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve
Early departure to Laguna Colorada, entering the protected area of the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, we pass the Stone Tree on the way while we cross the desert. On the way, there is a big chance to observe and appreciate the svelte figure of the wild Vicuñas, wild foxes and perhaps some other Andean animal. Then we will arrive in the Geysers of Sol de Mañana during the most active moment. This point is the highest altitude of the tour. We will be at 5000 meters above the sea level. The cold is intense and we will be able to walk among the smoky and noisy geysers, boiling mud stewpot where red and grey mud is boiling like water. The desert and Salar of Chalviri are sceneries of big value which combine the white of the snow and the borax with the red-brown of the desert and with the blue of the water. In that place, we will have the opportunity to take a bath in the Hot Springs of Polques and then to have a delicious open-air lunch. Then we will take the way to the Ladies of the Desert, Chef d’oeuvre of the wind work. The columns of stones sculpted by the wind shows fantastic colors. After that, we will arrive at the feet of Licancabur volcano to appreciate La Laguna Verde (the Green Lagoon, one of the pearls of the reserve). Afterwards, we head north to enter the Valley of Rocks at Villamar (3h away), overnight at Mallku Cueva Lodge. Welcome dinner and overnight in rooms with electrical blanket included.

We will follow the little path to arrive at the top of the island from where we will get the amazing 360º view on the Salar. Outdoor lunch and free time to enjoy the view. We will see water bubbling on the service, known as ‘Ojos de Salar’, which comes from the underground river of the Tunupa Volcano. Afterwards, we drive towards the village of Colchani to visit the salt factories and souvenirs market.  Finally, we head back across the lake arriving at our hotel at sunset.
