Day 01 - Iquitos / Ecolodge
Welcome to the airport or City of Iquitos
Road transfer to Nauta and a visit to the Sapi Sapi Lagoon (water mirror)
Navigation on the Marañón River

Visit 
to the Fundo Casual (see special note), a tropical forest run by local residents, where we will see different species of local fauna
Arrival to our EcoLodge
Greeting by a member of the Kukama
kukamiria ethnic group who will conduct a ritual to prepare us to get the energy and strength of nature
Accommodation in our bungalows
Nightly conversation on myths and legends of the Amazon
Visit our TSETSU mirador

Day 02 - Adventure Bootcamp: Ecolodge / Pacaya Samiria National Reserve
Interpretative and adventure treks through the primary forest of our EcoLodge following the route of the Primates

Day 03 - Vivencial Experience / Ecolodge
Visit the community of San Jorge to interact with its members and understand their way of life and ancestral customs
Visit the Center for Kukama Women Crafts (Pua Kamatawara), a project developed by Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge
Transfer to the airport or city of Iquitos

Important notes
 
  • We do not recommend children under 5, otherwise guest must sign a disclaimer.
  • Excursion schedules may vary depending on weather conditions and demand, The US Travel Advisory for Peru usually recommends yellow fever shots and malaria-preventive medication for tourists traveling to rainforest regions. Please consult your doctor at least a month before entering the Amazon Basin.
 
Water
 
  • The Lodge has filtered river water that can be used for showers but is not safe to drink.
  • Check in: 13:00 pm / Check out: 11:00 am 
 
What to wear
 
  • The weather is tropical, with an average temperature of 32°C (89° F), ranging from 25°C (77° F) to 42°C (107° F). The hotter season usually ranges from December to March and comes with frequent afternoon rainfall. Between June and September you may need some warmer clothing since occasional “friajes” or Patagonia Cold Fronts can reduce the temperature to 10°C (50°F).
  • It is important that you bring only necessary clothing and travel gear to the lodge. Due to weight and space limitations on the domestic flight and on the boat to the lodge, passenger luggage is limited to 10 kg. (22 lbs.) Per person. You may store some of your luggage in our office in Iquitos City and take only the most essential during your stay.
  • Light cotton clothes, pants and long sleeve shirts (preferably in earth colors: olive green, light brown/khakis of light, breathable, quick-dry material; please avoid using white color in the jungle)
  • Hiking boots or walking tennis shoes resistant to humidity; cotton socks.
  • Bathing suit
  • A light waterproof parka jacket, raincoat or sweater (when the temperature goes down considerably or when it rains)
  • Visitors must anticipate the extreme heat and humidity of the jungle by finding out the exact weather condition at the time of travel in order to be ready with clothing and accessories.
 
What to bring
 
  • Hat/cap (preferably with large visor)
  • Sunscreen / sunblock.
  • Insect repellent (with deet)
  • Sunglasses.
  • Personal medicines /medications; first-aid kit
  • Flashlight
  • Binoculars
  • Portable converter, rechargeable batteries, electrical adaptor for your charger
  • Camera with a big memory card; preferably in a waterproof case.
